Finally, some books I can use for my most important research!  These books hail from the Penn Publishing Company’s “Books Worth Having” series. Composed by various authors, they truly run the gamut of subjects, addressing everything from palmistry to checkers.  All eleven of these books were published between 1900 and 1920, and beautifully reflect the early 20th century zeal for occultism and dubious pseudoscience.  This series is pretty high up on my list of ”favorite things in our collection”!
